DJfindr makes it easy to find and book the perfect DJ for any event. Here is the complete step-by-step booking process from discovery to confirmed gig.

## Step 1 — Create a Client Account

Visit **djfindr.com** and sign up as a **Client** (not a DJ). You can sign up with your email and password, or with Google.

## Step 2 — Search for DJs

Use the **Search** or **Discover** pages to find DJs in your area:

- **Search** — Enter your event location, date, and event type to see available DJs.
- **Discover** — Browse featured and top-rated DJs in your region.
- **AI Search** — Describe what you're looking for in natural language (e.g., "energetic house music DJ for a 200-person birthday party in Brooklyn") and get AI-curated recommendations.

## Step 3 — Review DJ Profiles

Click any DJ's card to open their full profile at `djfindr.com/dj/their-slug`. You'll see:
- Their bio, genres, event types, and service areas
- Star rating and written reviews from past clients
- Mixes and media (SoundCloud/YouTube embeds)
- Starting hourly rate
- Availability calendar
- Profile verification badge (if verified)

## Step 4 — Submit an Event Request

When you find a DJ you like:

1. Click **Book Now** or **Send Inquiry** on their profile.
2. Fill in your event details:
   - Event date and time
   - Event type (birthday, wedding, corporate, etc.)
   - Venue or location
   - Expected duration
   - Your notes or special requests
3. Submit the request.

The DJ receives your request instantly in their Inbox.

## Step 5 — Receive and Review the Proposal

The DJ will either accept or decline your request. If they accept, they build a formal **Event Proposal** with:
- Their service rate
- Any extras (lighting, sound system, etc.) as line items
- Payment terms (deposit now + balance later, or full upfront)
- Cancellation policy

You receive the proposal in your DJfindr account and via email.

## Step 6 — Accept and Pay

If the terms look good:
1. Review all line items carefully.
2. Click **Accept Proposal**.
3. Complete payment using a credit/debit card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
4. The DJ's calendar is instantly blocked for your date.
5. Your event status moves to **Event Confirmed** — you're booked!

> **Tip:** After your event, you'll be prompted to leave a review. Honest reviews help other clients find great DJs.
