Your conversation with a DJ lives in **Inbox**, and also under the **Conversation** tab of your event. Same thread in both places.

## Sending a message

Type in the box at the bottom and send. **Attach Files** shares documents, images, or PDFs — floor plans, running orders, a photo of the space.

You can react to a message with a heart, thumbs up, laugh, or exclaim, which is handy for acknowledging something without another message.

## The About panel

Beside the conversation you'll see the DJ's details — **View Profile**, their **Extras**, **Genres**, **Occasions**, and **Requisites**, when they **Joined**, their **Experience**, events **Completed**, and their **Rating**. Useful for checking a detail without leaving the thread.

A green dot means they're online. You'll also see when they were last active.

## System messages

Messages marked **DJfindr System** are automatic updates — proposal sent, payment received, document completed. They form a timeline of the booking inside the conversation.

## What to discuss here

As the event approaches:

- Your running order and key moments — first dance, speeches, cake
- Songs you definitely want and definitely don't
- What time they'll arrive and where to set up
- Venue contact details and any access restrictions
- What they'll wear, if it matters at your event
- Whether they'll be on the mic

A DJ who has all of this a week out will run a better night than one finding out on arrival.

## Keep it in here

Everything agreed in DJfindr messages is attached to the booking and available if there's ever a disagreement. Move to text or WhatsApp and that record is gone.

This matters most for anything that changes the deal — a different finish time, an extra you've added, a change of venue.

## Never send

Card numbers, bank details, or passwords. No part of your booking needs them.

## If a message won't send

Messages are screened automatically. If one is blocked, you'll be told. The usual cause is contact or payment details that would move the booking off-platform.

## Reporting

The **Report** action in a conversation flags abuse or pressure to take the booking off-platform. See [Reporting a DJ, Message, or Profile](/hc/clients/articles/reporting-abuse-misuse-or-copyright-concerns-clients).

## Before the day

Swap phone numbers for the day itself — worth having if someone's running late. Keep everything about terms and money in DJfindr.
