If you've already created an event, you don't need to re-enter the details to approach another DJ.

## From the booking form

At the top of any DJ's **Book** form there's **Want to use an existing event?** Pick your event from the dropdown and select **Copy** — the date, time, location, occasion, and extras all fill in.

Check them before sending, then adjust anything that's changed.

## From your event

Open the event under **Events** in your dashboard. There's a card reading **Discover more DJs for this event** — *Instantly request DJs using your existing event details.* Select **Search DJs** and your details carry through to whoever you pick.

## Why it's set up this way

One event can hold requests to several DJs. Each DJ's response is a separate proposal under that one event, so you compare them side by side rather than juggling separate enquiries.

On the event page, each proposal shows its **Expiration** and **Amount**, with **View Proposal** to open it. Once you accept one, it's marked **Selected**.

## How many DJs to approach

Three to five is a sensible range. Enough for a real comparison, not so many that you're managing a project.

This is normal and DJs expect it. You don't need to tell them, though saying you're comparing a few and when you'll decide often gets faster, better proposals.

## Comparing what comes back

Proposals rarely match line for line. Compare on:

- **Total Due**, not the hourly rate
- What's included — one DJ's base price may include lighting another charges for
- The **Cancellation Policy** date
- The payment structure — deposit or full amount
- The **Requisites** — what each one needs from you

## Once you've decided

Accept the one you want. For the others, reject the proposal or drop the request — it releases the DJ and frees their date. Leaving them hanging until they expire is worse for everyone.

A short message saying you went elsewhere costs nothing and matters if you book again.

## Different events

Don't reuse an event for a genuinely different occasion. Create a new one from the DJ's **Book** form so the details are right.
