A DJ's profile is where you decide whether to message them. It has seven tabs — **About**, **Services**, **Mixes**, **Posts**, **Reviews**, **Policies**, and **Events** — with **Book** and **Message** following you as you scroll.

## The top of the page

The cover image and profile picture, their display name, any badges, their star rating, and three figures:

- **LOCATION** — where they're based
- **AVERAGE RATE** — their typical hourly rate
- **EVENTS** — how many they've completed on DJfindr

That last one is worth weighing. A DJ with thirty completed events on DJfindr has a track record here. A newer profile isn't a worse DJ — they may have years of experience elsewhere — but there's less on the platform to go on.

## About

Their bio, how long they've been DJing, an **Intro Reel** video if they've added one, and **Areas Served** — the places they'll travel, with a map. Check your venue is covered.

## Services

Three lists: **Occasions** they play, **Genres**, and **Extras** they offer. Extras may show a price.

## Mixes

Recordings you can play in the browser. The fastest way to know whether someone suits your event. See [Listening to Mixes and Watching Intro Reels](/hc/clients/articles/1786047501-listening-to-mixes-and-viewing-intro-reels).

## Posts

A feed of their recent work with dates. Useful for two things: seeing they're actively working, and seeing whether they've done events like yours.

## Reviews

Ratings and comments from past clients, with **Total reviews** and **Average rating**. Only clients who booked and completed an event on DJfindr can leave one. See [Reading Reviews and Ratings](/hc/clients/articles/1786146146-reading-reviews-and-ratings).

## Events

Upcoming live events this DJ is playing — public nights you could go and watch them at. Empty for many DJs, and some hide it. See [Finding Live Events](/hc/clients/articles/1786210797-finding-live-events).

## Policies

The part most people skip and shouldn't:

- **Requisites** — what they need you or the venue to provide, like parking, power, or a meal
- **Cancellation Policy** — usually stated as how many days ahead you can cancel
- **Travel & Logistics** — how they handle travel

Reading this before you message saves the most common awkward conversation later.

## Empty sections

A line like *This DJ has not provided their performing genres* means they've left it blank. Not necessarily a problem, but it's a fair thing to ask about.
