Extras are add-ons beyond the DJ playing music. You flag which ones you want on your booking request, and the DJ prices them on the proposal.

A DJ only offers the ones on their profile, so what you can pick varies.
How to choose them
On the request form, use the Event Extras picker. The form notes that extras may cost extra or may be unavailable, and that the DJ will do their best to honour the request.
So ticking one is asking, not buying. The price arrives with the proposal.
The ones that catch people out
Sound System. Don't assume it's included. Many DJs bring their own PA as standard, but some price it separately, and some venues supply one. If your venue has nothing, make sure this is on the proposal — arriving to a room with no speakers is the worst possible time to find out.
Wireless Microphone. If there are speeches, a ceremony, or any announcements, you need one. Easy to forget until the best man is shouting.
MC Services. Different from a microphone. This is the DJ actively running the room — introductions, announcements, keeping the schedule moving. For a wedding it's often the difference between a smooth night and a confused one.
Early Arrival. If you need the DJ set up before their playing time starts — during photos, say, or before guests arrive — this is the extra for it. Adding extra hours to the booking instead means paying performance rates for setup time.
Ask for more than you'll take
At the request stage it costs nothing to flag several. The proposal prices them individually, so you can then ask the DJ to drop the ones you don't want. That's easier than adding something later.
Checking the proposal
When the proposal arrives, every extra you asked for should be listed with a price under Extras in the service breakdown. If one is missing, the DJ may not be able to supply it — worth asking before you accept. See Reading Your Proposal.
Adding one afterwards
Before accepting, message the DJ and ask for a revised proposal. After you've paid, it needs agreeing with the DJ directly.
