Live events are public nights DJs are playing — club nights, parties, festival slots. You'll find them under Discover, and on a DJ's own profile.
They're separate from booking. Nobody is hiring anyone here; these are events you can turn up to.
Where to find them
Discover → Live Events — a feed of upcoming events you can browse by location.
A DJ's profile — the Events tab lists what that DJ has coming up. If they haven't got anything, you'll see No live events coming up, yet!, and some DJs hide the section entirely.
No account needed to browse.
Why this is useful when you're hiring
This is the part most people miss. If you're choosing between DJs, an upcoming events list tells you something a profile can't: this person is actually working right now.
Better still, you can go and watch them. Hearing a DJ read a real room for an hour tells you more than any mix will. If one of your shortlist is playing somewhere public before you have to decide, that's worth an evening.
It also tells you what kind of rooms they work. A DJ whose events are all late club nights is a different proposition from one playing bars and community events — even if their mixes sound similar.
What's on an event page
- The artwork, date, time, and LOCATION
- About — what to expect
- Host — the DJ, with View Profile and Message
- Any entry restriction, like Ages 18+ or Private / Invite Only
- Get Tickets if it's ticketed, with the price, or FREE
- More events by that DJ, and More events in the area
Tickets
Get Tickets takes you to wherever the DJ sells them — DJfindr doesn't sell tickets or handle that payment. Anything about your ticket, including refunds, goes to that seller.
This is different from booking a DJ, which does go through DJfindr. See How DJfindr Handles Your Payment.
If you like what you hear
Message on the event page opens a conversation with the DJ, and View Profile takes you to their full profile where you can listen to mixes and send a booking request. See Sending a Booking Request.
Not everything is listed
Some events are unlisted — reachable by link but not shown in Discover. If a DJ sends you a link to something you can't find by browsing, that's why.
