After the Event & Reviews
Event completion, leaving a review, and getting help afterwards.
When Your Event Is Marked Complete
After your event finishes, the status moves to Event Complete on its own. You don't need to confirm anything. What you'll see The Progress tab shows Event complete โ The event has wrapped up! We've already requested a review on your behalf. There's a Throw Confetti button, which does exactly what it says. A review form appears on the same screen. What happens automatically - Your event is archived - The DJ's completed event count goes up - We request a review from you - The DJ is released from the booking What's left for you Leave a review, if you want to. It's the one thing only you can do. Reviews on DJfindr come only from clients who booked and completed a real event here, which is what makes them worth reading โ and worth writing. See Leaving a Review. Save your documents, if you haven't. They stay in your account, but downloading the proposal and any signed documents takes a minute. See Downloading Documents and Your Proposal. Payments By completion, everything should be settled โ the full amount, or the deposit and remaining balance. Check the Payments tab if you're unsure. Amount Paid and Remaining Balance in the overview panel are the quickest answer. Any extension you paid for on the night appears here too, as its own payment. If something was wrong Completion is automatic and doesn't mean everything went well. If it didn't, you can still report it and still ask for help. See If Something Goes Wrong at Your Event and Getting Help After an Event. Booking them again Message them directly from Inbox โ the conversation is still there. Or send a fresh request from their profile with your new date. Your records Completed events stay in your account under Events, with the proposal, documents, payments, and the full conversation. Useful the next time you're planning something and want to remember what you paid and who did it well.
Leaving a Review
Once your event is complete, we ask you for a review. It's optional, and it's the main way other clients judge a DJ. How to leave one The review form appears on the Progress tab of your completed event. 1. Select a star rating from 1 to 5. 2. Write your review in the box โ Share your experience working with... 3. Select Submit Review. You can also get there from Reviews in your dashboard, where anything outstanding sits under Pending. Reviews can't be edited or deleted Worth knowing before you submit. There's no edit button and no delete. Take a moment before posting, particularly if you're writing while annoyed. If you submit something you regret, contact [email protected] โ we can't promise a change, but we'd rather know. Writing one that helps The reviews people actually find useful are specific. Consider: - Did they read the room? The most important thing a DJ does, and the hardest to judge from a mix - Communication โ before the day and on it - Punctuality and setup - Whether they delivered what was agreed โ the extras, the hours, the equipment - What kind of event it was, so the next reader knows whether it's like theirs "Great DJ, highly recommend" is kind and tells nobody anything. "Kept a mixed-age wedding crowd on the floor from 8 till midnight, and handled the speeches running 40 minutes late without a wobble" is the review someone books on. Being fair If something went wrong, say so โ that's what reviews are for. It's worth separating what the DJ controlled from what they didn't. A venue's noise curfew or a delayed dinner isn't theirs. If the problem was serious, report it as well. A review isn't a report. See If Something Goes Wrong at Your Event. Who can see it Your review appears publicly on the DJ's profile with your first name, your profile picture, and the occasion. Your contact details are never shown. Why yours matters Only clients who booked and completed an event through DJfindr can review. Your five minutes is the thing that lets the next person choose confidently.
Your Reviews Hub: Pending and Submitted
Reviews in your dashboard collects everything review-related in one place. Pending Completed events you haven't reviewed yet. Each row shows the Event and the DJ, with a Submit button that takes you to the review form on that event. When you're up to date, you'll see You're all caught up โ no reviews to complete! Submitted Reviews you've already left. If you haven't left any, it says You haven't posted any reviews. Why bother Your review is the main thing the next client uses to judge a DJ. Reviews here come only from clients who booked and completed a real event, which is what makes them worth something โ and that only holds if people actually write them. It takes two minutes. They can't be changed No edit, no delete. Worth a moment's thought before submitting, particularly if you're writing while annoyed about something. What makes a useful one Specifics. "Kept a mixed-age wedding crowd on the floor from 8 till midnight and handled the speeches running 40 minutes late without a wobble" is what someone books on. "Great DJ" isn't. Worth covering: whether they read the room, how they communicated beforehand, whether they arrived and set up on time, and whether they delivered what was agreed. See Leaving a Review. We'll ask you When an event completes we request a review automatically, so a pending one will show up here without you going looking.
Getting Help After an Event
Your event is over and something still needs sorting. Here's where to take it. Start with the DJ For most things, message them first. The conversation is still open in Inbox. Worth raising directly: - An extra you paid for that didn't materialise - Hours that don't match what you were charged - A partial refund you think is fair - Property left behind or taken by mistake Many DJs will resolve these without escalation. It's faster than any other route. Then support Go to Help in your dashboard. Three options: - Chat with us โ live chat, fastest - [email protected] โ best when you need to attach things - Help & Guides โ this help centre Which request type | Type | Use it for | |---|---| | Request Help | Something needs resolving โ payments, refunds, records | | Report Misuse | The DJ broke the rules โ no-show, abuse, pressure to pay off-platform | Both are treated as urgent. Use Report Misuse for conduct and Request Help for everything else. What to include - Your Event Proposal ID, and the Payment ID if it's about money - The event date - What was agreed, and what happened instead - What you'd like to happen - Screenshots or receipts The first two are the ones people leave out, and they're what we need before anything can move. Refunds after the event Refunds after an event has happened aren't automatic โ the service was delivered, and your proposal terms and completed documents are what govern it. If you believe those terms weren't honoured, say which term and how. See Refund Statuses and Timing. Your records Everything stays in your account: the proposal, documents, payments, receipts, and the full conversation. Find them under Events. Your review Separate from support and worth doing either way. A specific, fair review is a permanent record and helps the next client. See Leaving a Review. Timing Raise things while they're fresh. Payment records and conversations don't disappear, but a report a month later is harder to resolve than one the same week.
